If you don’t already know, Jerry’s in the Air Force Reserves. So once a month during a weekend, we drive up to Tacoma, Washington. Sometimes we get lucky and stay at a hotel. Sometimes that hotel has an awesome pool & spa. Here are some pictures of my loves having fun. I just adore them!

Malia J. I need to remember to enroll her in swim classes again. On this day she learned how to float on her back.

Sweet Jenna Bean. She loves to swim and I’ll have enroll her in swim classes too. But first, she needs to get rid of those pesky diapers!

They love using the spa more than the pool for some reason. Haha.

It’s been three years since we’ve lost my mother. I wish I could say it’s gotten easier. It hasn’t. I remember her daily. Malia does too. I look at my little girls and remember my mom’s face and her skin and her touch. And most especially her smile. This year on the anniversary of my mom’s death, as I stared at my girls, I saw a special glimmer in their eye. I know that she’s still here with us.

I miss you mommy. But I know you’re still here. In my daughters. You’re still here.

when you have families like this at your session. Seriously. They were amazing and their little girl was just adorable and cooperative. It took her a bit to warm up to me but she did!

It helped that she loved my little belle and jasmine pez dispenser. See her crawlling toward me because of it!?! Hehe.

One of my favorite shots of the session. I love having the parent steal a smooch while the baby isn’t looking.

I love my job. I became a professional photographer for moments like this. I’m not always into the “cheese” expressions and stares into the camera. I just loving seeing this through the viewfinder. Her sweet little face and the proud look from her mommy and daddy. It’s the best.

I did a maternity session in Yakima about a month ago and was able to return to do a newborn session! It’s a boy and he’s a cutie pie!

I was able to photograph some really cute kiddos the other day. Amy & her kids were in town visiting and she wanted a quick mini-shoot. I can’t believe how much they have grown! We met at a local wildlife reserve for a great time! It was hot, windy and everyone’s allergies were in full effect but we still managed to get some adorable photos!

Here’s Amy’s little girl, Hayden, in a teacup. Look at the rolls on this girl. So cute!

Amy’s son, Austin. All boy & just loved playing in the rocks and dirt!

Amy’s friend, Britanny came as well. Here’s Britanny’s little guy sporting a cowboy hat. Yeehaw!

I had a 6 month photo session with little Gwen and a 4 year photo session with Jeff. It’s so fun to see them grow up! Here’s Jeff giving me a nice smile.

An adorable young family with a spunky little guy and sweet 2 month old girl. I met them at a nearby park and hit it off with the momma from the start. Don’t you just love it when that happens?! The daddy is in the military and just came back from 8 month tour of duty in Iraq. He leaves again for another 8 months. Talking about it brings tears to my eyes yet again. Oh what these men, women and families do for our country. Never forget to thank a soldier and his or her family. They are brave brave people.

Here’s one of the whole family. Had to get on top of the ladder and reach for this one!

Oh my goodness, these two are so sweet!!

Little David at 11 months

We’ve known this family for quite sometime and they are so wonderful. I had the great opportunity to have a photo session with them at the downtown waterfront park amidst cherry blossom trees!

Here’s little David, at 11 months old, and always on the lookout for dogs. He loves dogs!
