Usually blue means sadness but there was none of that when I photographed the P family a few weeks ago. We met at a fun little park and just had a blast. Big brother and twin little sister and little brother were amazing and full of smiles!

It’s been a while – Salem Oregon Child and Family Photography

I’ve known this family for a while now. Met them before the man of the house was due to deploy. Campbell was just a few weeks old. While the daddy, Kyle was gone, we had a few sessions with just the mommy, Anna and baby Campbell. I sent as a surprise a little book filled with photos from each of those sessions. My heart was so full when I learned that Kyle returned home and they were a complete family once again. What better way to celebrate the reunion than with a fun photo session by a beautiful river in Salem.

Things I loved from the session? Little Campbell’s strong arm while walking. Her big smiles. Pointing to every dog and bike that crossed our path. Having her mommy and daddy kiss over and over again just for the photos.

I’ve known the mommy of these kiddos since the early 90′s back when we both still lived in Guam. We found each other again through the wonder that is FaceBook. She heard that I was heading to the Oahu to photograph a wedding and she jumped at the chance to do a photo session! Thank you for trusting me Armi! I adore you!

We met at one of several beautiful lagoons at Ko’Olina and here is what we got as the sun set in the distance.

This was the one of the first shots I took of the kids. I think I yelled at Armi and said “We’re done! They are AMAZING!”

Armi has some gorgeous kiddos. Very polite, sweet and cooperative!

Here’s her oldest boy. Mr. Handsome.

And the oldest girl. Miss Stunning.

Number three. The Duke of Charm.

The youngest boy. Sir Adorable.

And the baby girl, who wasn’t feeling too well that day but did amazing. Baby Z so sweet.

We are family, I’ve got all my sisters… – Cape Meares Oregon Family Photography

I’ve known the M family for over a year now. This is their second session. We decided that we’d head to the beach! And boy, Oregon weather in September is very unpredictable. It was sprinkling sideways the entire session. But they were such awesome sports! The girls and mama were quick to have fun and kick off their shoes ready to dig their toes in the sand. Daddy-O on the other hand was just a touch reserved and kept his business shoes on. He is from New York City after all.

We started off with the sisters. I just fell in love with them because hello, I’m one of three sisters myself. And they all have such pretty names! Lily, Rose & Grace!

We made the most of our session despite the yucky weather. I just feel so much love with this family.

The girls were even courageous enough to do some jumping on the beach! Woohoo!

Seriously, so awesome.

One of the many things I do in my business is give back. Just a few months ago. United Health Care asked me to donate a session for their March of Dimes auction. I wholeheartedly agreed! I was excited enough that I donated two sessions! One of the winners was the B family. They have a little girl named Claire and oh my goodness is she precious!

She loved to laugh and point at the camera. Didn’t care about toys but would rather touch my camera lens. She’s a techie in the making I’m sure!

This family is full of love and smiles and giggles.

The day after our session was to be Claire’s FIRST birthday so of course I had to run around the house and take photos of details for the party.

And little miss cutie pie Claire had two cakes. One for her birthday party and one for her to smash into and taste for the session! She loved the cake but wasn’t too fond of the fondant. Haha!

Seriously. Cute right?!?!?

The biggest giggles came from her when we went on a little walk in front of her home.

He’s the adorable baby of a good friend of mine.

He’s all boy because he just adores grass and anything nature.

And he loves to laugh at his mommy when she dances behind me.

He loves to stick out his tongue.

He loves to pick flowers. They’re probably for his mommy.

A total mommy’s boy.

And again with the expressions. Haha!!

I just adore this little guy! Thanks again Xenie and Michael! Next time we’ll get dad, Joe in there for sure. Here’s your fun little challenge! Full circle – Scappoose Oregon Baby and Family Photography

I photographed this sweet family back in February of 2009. But it was for a heartbreaking situation. They lost their little baby girl A at the hospital and I was there as a member of Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep to take photos of them saying good-bye. Little A was perfect in every way, just born still. I remember driving away from the hospital with tears running down my cheeks and prayers in my heart for them. I know first hand what it’s like to have to say farewell to a little being and I only wished them the best and hoped that someday another little one would come and cheer up their hearts once again. And they’ve come full circle. I had the honor of seeing them again a couple weeks ago to see their new little bundle of joy, little P. This little man is quite adorable and smooshy and so very loved. Here are some photos from our session.

A huge part of my photography business is giving back. One of the organizations I helped with this year is the March of Dimes. I love this organization more so because I have two babies that I delivered a tad bit premature. I donated a couple family sessions to their annual auction sponsored by United Health Care of Portland.

The lovely Stewart family graciously bid for my services and won! I am so pleased that they loved my work! And super duper props to them for giving to the March of Dimes. Such a wonderful organization! We decided to do their family session at a nature park near their home and boy was it a blast! Here are a few from our excursion in the woods.

Such handsome boys! They also protected me from snakes.

Lots of fruit snacks + funny dancing from mom & dad = a multitude of smiles!

I always make it a point during family sessions to show the love between the mommy & the daddy. Aren’t they sweet?

One last one that I just adore. Thank you so much Stewart family! You all are gorgeous and amazing!
