Just wanted to wish one of my BFF’s Emily of emily g photography a very very very happiest of birthdays today. In a few days she’ll be adding another sweet thing to her brood. A great week for her indeed. Another decade older & the arrival of Griffin soon!

Doug’s 50th birthday bash! – Portland Oregon Event Photography

About a week ago, I was given the opportunity to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday party! Doug turned 50 on Halloween. You probably remember Doug from a special engagement session a few months ago. Usually his birthday party is a held at home and the guests are in costume. But this time was different. Turning 50 is a big deal! His partner, Dan organized a wonderful party. Everyone was in cocktail attire and the party was in the screening room at the Hotel deLuxe in downtown Portland, Oregon.

I took photos during the party and boy was it a blast!

This photo was taken during the secret slideshow that was shown on the big screen. It was so fun to see Doug throughout the years.

Friends & family came from near and far to celebrate with Doug.

Dan had his turn to get down on the dance floor too. Man, those Container Store employees do know how to PARTY!

Did I mention that there were hot guys at this party. Well, look there’s one right now! I asked him to dance with me several times.

And I danced with some of my funny, awesome buddies from the Container Store too. Woohoo!

Good food, good friends, good music, good dancing! Thanks Dan and Doug for having us and a very Happy Birthday to you again, Doug! Wishing you 50 more awesome years!

with a family that I’ve known for forever! The mommy, Heidi, and I have had our shares of infertility challenges. But here we are now! Two kiddos later! I met up with them at her parents house by the beach and boy was it a magical morning.

Here’s their little boy running to his momma. Truly a magical moment.

And the two kids having a cup of tea together in the backyard. Don’t you just love their dress up costumes!

And here’s a tender moment I captured between a granddaughter and her “Oma.”

While the hubby left for military duty in Alaska, I met up with some professional child photographers in the are at an abandoned factory. There was cool graffiti everywhere and the location was just plain cool. This is going to be an image intense post cause there was just so much awesomeness. Here’s the fun!

Kendall, Kayla and Karis – lake oswego oregon child photography

Three little girls. Two of them, Kendall & Karis, sisters. Two of them, Kayla & Kendall best friends. We met at a little park smack dab in the middle of parking lots and business offices. But there were pretty waterfalls, nice trees and cute ducks & geese!! It was so fun!! Here are my favorite three from the session.
