February 25, 2010The weather is starting to warm up, the sun is out longer & the flowers are starting to bloom! I brought the girls out to a park this afternoon and the field was filled with yellow blooms. Here are a few that I took of the girls. 
Oh and just to note, a great friend of mine, Andrea R. was able to resurrect my old blog posts from waaaaay back. So please excuse the mess if you are heading back to my earlier posts. There seems to be a \ or a / next to any apostrophe or quotation mark that was made. I’ll hopefully have some time in the future to fix all that up. Thank you Andrea. You are amazing.
This is what it’s all about…
February 23, 2010I attended the Sandy Puc Family Tour last night and was once again pleasantly happy as I drove home. This is my third seminar. I attended the Bellies & Babies tour two years ago and the Tots to Teens tour last year. Every year, I leave with a wealth of information & inspiration. Last night was no exception. I left knowing what I’m doing. What I’m put here to do. What my role as a photographer is. It’s to capture memories. Freeze a moment in time. I need to remind my clients & friends that THIS IS IMPORTANT. You don’t purchase the paper the photo is on. You purchase the memory printed onto it. And I thank you. I thank you for allowing me into your lives. For allowing me to do what I love.

“Thanksgiving through my Birthday” special sale!
November 26, 2008I’ve had a few clients ask if I offer gift certificates. Another great photographer friend of mine suggested I send out a great deal to you all. Hey there Jen, I’m thankful for you and your fabulous ideas, my dear. So here it is!
I’m excited to offer a “Thanksgiving through my Birthday” special sale! 50% off gift certificates for session and print/product orders. Dude, what a deal! The sale starts Thursday, Thanksgiving, November 27th and will end Sunday, on my 34th birthday, November 30th at midnight PST. No orders for the gift certificates special will be sold after the deadline (no exceptions). What’s the deal? For every amount you buy, I’ll add 50% more. If you buy a $100 gift certificate, you get $150. If you get a $400 gift certificate, you get $600 and so forth. You can purchase these for yourself to secure sessions after the first of the year or for family and friends. They will be delivered or mailed to you or your intended recipient (free of charge) before Christmas. What a great gift idea for your family or friends! The gift certificates will be valid for any session fee or print/product orders after January 1st, 2009 and must be used by December 31st, 2009.
I’m so thankful for so many things this year. A wonderful husband and beautiful girls, awesome friends, terrific clients and a business that is growing every day. I’ve been blessed to be able to donate my work to Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, Operation: Love Reunited and The Heart Gallery of Oregon. Oh and I’m turning 34 on Sunday and I’m pretty okay about it. I’m actually excited about it. For every year, I get older… it reminds me that I’ve been healthy enough to spend another year with my husband and girls. Another year to share memories with you all and capturing them for forever. You know how much that means to me.
